Aledo, Illinois Iris V. Doonan, age 82 of Aledo, Illinois died, Thursday, August 23, 2001 in Heartland Health Care, Moline, Illinois. Funeral services will be Saturday, at 12:00 PM at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo with the Reverend John Crede officiating . Visitation is Saturday, 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, with a VFW Ladies Auxilary Service at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery, Aledo, Illinois. Memorials may be given to the Aledo VFW Ladies Auxiliary. The former Iris Vivian Wagoner was born March 12, 1919 in Aledo, Illinois the daughter of Earl and Vera (Mosher) Wagoner. She married Benjamin ''Earl'' Doonan on February 9, 1946 in Aledo, he died on June 19, 1970. Iris was employed as a Sales Clerk at the Sears Catalog Store in Aledo. She also helped her husband on the family farm in Millersburg Township. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Aledo, and was an active member with the Aledo VFW Women's Auxiliary. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Walker of Rock Island, Illinois, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and a sister.
