Ilene I. Correll

Ilene I. Correll, 82, of East Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, July 11, 2021, at home surrounded by her family.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Rev. Wayne Furr officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First United Presbyterian Church, Moline.

The former Ilene Ida Havens was born August 12, 1938, in Moscow, Idaho, to John Emery and Charlotte Marie (Butler) Havens. She graduated from Moscow High School and married Ronald Guy Correll on June 9, 1956, in Moscow.

Ilene was a licensed beautician at Karen’s Beauty Shop in East Moline. She then co-owned M & I Salon of Beauty in East Moline, retiring in 1989.

She was an active member of First United Presbyterian Church, Moline, and belonged to Daughters of the American Revolution, New England Women’s Society, King’s Daughters, Daughters of the Colonial War, Daughters of the Union, and TOPS, Inc. She was devoted to her family.

Ilene is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Ronald; three children, Douglas (Sheri) Correll of East Moline, Dan Correll of Rock Island, Illinois, and Rhonda (Paul) Van Oteghem of Jasper, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Katie (Bobby) Shriver of Nashville, Tennessee, Jacob Van Oteghem of Austin, Texas, Ted (Danielle) Correll of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Ben Correll of Moline; two great-grandsons, Oliver Correll and Frank Miller; two sisters, Inez Davey of Texas, and Ruth (Jack) Richey of Washington; and many close friends including her “card buddies”. She was preceded in death by brothers, Donald, Jay and Ralph Havens; and sisters, Vera Olson, Audrey Levecke, Hazel Boyce, Ollie Essy, and Helen Caswell.
