Howard Robert Harrington

Howard R. Harrington age 89, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, October 18, 2002 at Forest Hill Health & Rehab Center in East Moline, Illinois. No public funeral services will be held. Memorials may be given to the Moline Good Fellows Fund. Howard Robert Harrington was born October 8, 1913 in Moline, Illinois, the son of Robert "RC" and Elizabeth (Feyh) Harrington. Mr. Harrington owned & operated Harrington Roofing in Moline for 45 years, retiring in 1971. He was a member of Bethel-Wesley United Methodist Church in Moline. Mr. Harrington was very active in many fraternal organizations and social clubs including; the Viking Club in Moline, the High Twelve Club in Rock Island, the Moline Elk Lodge, the Moline American Legion Post 246, Doric Lodge in Moline, Moline Consistory, Kaaba Shrine Davenport, Iowa, York Rite in Rock Island, the Black Hawk Shrine Club, and the Royal Arch Masons of Illinois. Mr. Harrington served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Harrington is survived by a special friend, Juanita Samuelson and her family, Sandra and Randy Tone, Renee and Jeff Meyer all of Moline, Ryan and Pam Tone of East Moline, Ragan and katie Tone of Oklahoma City, Oaklahoma; a sister-in-law, Helen Harrington; two nieces, JoAnne Meyer, and Pat Short; three nephews, Robert Hoskins, Robert C. Harrington, and Mark Harrington, all of Coal Valley, Illinois.
