Moline, Illinois Helen L. Geddling, 84, of Moline, died Saturday, November 13, 2004, in her home. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Janice Griffith officiating. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline. The former Helen Louise Adams was born August 31, 1920, in Knoxville, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Elizabeth (Scott) Adams. She married Lester Geddling on October 29, 1941, in Knoxville, Iowa. He died September 17, 1997. She was employed by Moline School District #40 as bookkeeper and manager of the Moline High School bookstore and supply store for 20 years, retiring in 1983. She was a long-time member of Riverside United Methodist Church, where she was treasurer of United Methodist Women, served on the Finance and Administrative Boards, and was an usher. She was treasurer for the Auxiliary gift shops at the former Moline Public, the former United Medical Center, and Trinity Medical Center. She was a Board Member of Kings Daughters City Union, and a member of Edith Hass Circle of Kings Daughters and Chapter I.S. of P.E.O. Sisterhood. Helen is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debra Geddling of Colona; two granddaughters, Sarah and Ashley Geddling; and two step-grandchildren, Ashley and Dustin Burroughs.
