Helen Harrington, 82, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Saturday, May 27, 2006, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The former Helen Kelley was born October 25, 1923, in Roseville, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Florence Kelley. She married Robert C. Harrington on March 30, 1946, in Moline. He died February 9, 1993.
Helen is survived by three children and their spouses, Patricia and Michael Short of Buford, Georgia, Robert C. III and Kathleen Harrington of Coal Valley, and Mark G. and Teresa Harrington of Lynn Center, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Mark Short and his wife Mindy, Scott Short and his wife Wendy, Nick Short, Kristin and Brett Harrington, and Jaclyn and Jamie Harrington; three great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Pearl Kelley of Colona, and Jessie Kelley of East Moline. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister, Rose Briesch, brothers, Francis and Clarence Kelley, and a half-brother, John Kelley.
