Harriet A. Pearson

Moline, Illinois Harriet A. Pearson, 74, of Moline, died Saturday, August 16, 2003, in Manor Care Health Services, Davenport. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Edward Borzyc will officiate. Burial is in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Mississippi Valley Chapter of Alzheimer's Association. The former Harriet Ann Cale was born February 10, 1929, in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Maida (Thornburg) Cale. She married Richard C. Kiely on June 14, 1947. She married Victor Pearson on November 25, 1973, in Rock Island. She was an accountant at the Rock Island County Health Department for five years, retiring in 1992. She previously was office manager at Tri-City Posting for several years. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Moline, and the U. S. Amateur Ballroom Dancing Association, and an active volunteer with Quad City Music Guild and the former Moline Public Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid ballroom dancer and swimmer, and won many medals in swimming with Senior Olympics. In school, she played classical violin and played First Clarinet in the UTHS Orchestra. Harriet is survived by her husband, Victor; three children and their spouses, Sherri and Gale Brown of Silvis, Rick and Karen Kiely of Moline, and Joe Kiely of Davenport; two step-children and spouse, David and Rita Pearson of Coal Valley, and Debbie Pearson of Appleton, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Sterling and Vicky Cale of Hawaii.
