New Boston, Illinois Harold ''Harry'' Sloan, 87, of New Boston, died Friday, May 17, 2002 at his son's home in Galesburg. Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:30 AM at New Boston United Methodist Church, New Boston. Burial will be in New Boston Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 6 PM at Trimble Funeral HOme, Aledo. Memorials may be made to the New Boston United Methodist Church. Harry was born on March 6, 1915 near Mannon, Illinois to Lee and Kathryn (Shunick) Sloan. He married Ruby ''Muriel'' Ferguson on December 20, 1939 in Muscatine. She preceded him in death on January 13, 1993. Harry farmed his entire life near New Boston. He was a member of the New Boston United Methodist Church. In earlier years he enjoyed square dancing and clogging with his wife. Harry is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Charles and Debbie Sloan of Galesburg; a daughter, Susan Mayfield of Moline and a granddaughter and her husband, Sabrina and Mike Stroops of Galesburg.
