Greg Geyer

Greg Geyer, 45, of Moline, Illinois, died unexpectedly Friday, September 8, 2017, in the emergency room at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island.

Services are 11a.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with The Rev. Dr. Randy Willers officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Friends are invited to join the family at a funeral luncheon at Faith Lutheran Church, 1611 41st Street, Moline, following the burial. Memorials may be made to the Greg Geyer Memorial Fund.

Gregory Allan Geyer was born December 28, 1971, to Howard and Kathleen Kelly Geyer. He graduated from Black Hawk College. He married Julie Podolski on October 7, 1995, in Moline. He was a plumber and pipefitter for Ryan and Associates, Davenport, and a member of Plumber and Pipefitters Local 25. He loved his special buddy, Frank, a Doberman he rescued, and enjoyed working on Jeeps, and riding motorcycles and dirt bikes.

Greg is survived by his wife, Julie; two children, Erin and Trae Geyer; his mother and step-father, Kate and Clark Miner of Coal Valley; his parents-in-law, Linda and Shawn Podolski of Lakeview, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Peyton Keiller of Moline and Karla Grandinetti of Davenport; brother-in-law, Andrew Grandinetti of Davenport; a nephew, Alex Keiller of Iowa City, Iowa; and nieces, Katelyn and Gracie of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his step-father, David Bergstrom.
