Garald L. Savage

Garald L. Savage, 66, of East Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, February 6, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Friday at Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post #227 will present military honors. Those wishing to attend should meet at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, at 10:45 a.m. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Gary was born August 6, 1949, in Cordova, Illinois, the son of George and Patricia (Lewis) Savage. He served in the U.S. Army and was a siding sub-contractor. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing, and loved being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Georgina and Jason Springer of East Moline, Garald Savage, Jr. of Milan, Illinois, and John Savage of Texas; two grandchildren, Samantha Savage and Hunter Springer; and his special companion, Sandy Kane. He was preceded in death by his parents.
