Kenneth G. Malcolm, 77, of Galesburg, Illinois, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at his daughter?s home, surrounded by his family.
Private services will be held. Memorials may be made to Community Hopices of America, 1640 N. Henderson St. Galesburg, Illinois 61401. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center is assisting the family.
Kenneth George Malcolm was born May 21, 1930, in Galesburg, the son of Roy and Minnie (Prim) Malcolm. He married Joan Adcock on September 27, 1953, in Galesburg. He was a self-employed farmer.
Kenneth was a Mason, enjoyed farming, and enjoyed traveling with his family, especially out West and to Lock and Dam 18 to watch the eagles. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, a daughter and son-in-law, Lesa Malcolm-Bivens and Rick Bivens of Moline, a son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Dawn Malcolm of Galesburg, grandsons, Ryne Patty, Connor Malcolm-Bivens, and Kenny and Kelin Malcolm; a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Ernest Wedell of Galesburg, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Dale and Cecil Malcolm, and a sister, Shirley Miller.
