Marge Cornmesser, 76, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, in Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, Illinois.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Mayo Foundation for the Pulmonary Department.
The former Marjorie Grace Brown was born January 27, 1932, in Moline, the daughter of Chester Merritt and Margaret Marion (Brown) Brown. She married Ray E. Cornmesser on May 15, 1948, in Moline. He died September 29, 2002. She was a member of the Colona Lionesses and the 630 Club, and enjoyed her monthly card club.
Marge is survived by two children and their spouses, Susan and Stanley Roesner of Geneseo, Illinois, and Thomas and Rhonda Cornmesser of Milan, Illinois; three grandchildren and their spouses, Jeff Roesner, Tom and Marissa Roesner, and Jim and Angela Roesner; one great-granddaughter, Kendall Grace Roesner; a brother, William Brown of Silvis; and a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Jim Rounds of Hoopole, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters in infancy; and a brother, Richard Brown.
