Francis G. Bowman, 90, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Friday, September 28, 2007, in Good Samaritan Center, Davenport.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Moline. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church.
Frank George Bowman was born April 30, 1917, in Bureau County, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Rose Bowman. He married Mary E. Moffitt September 28, 1946. She died February 24, 2005.
He graduated from St. Mary?s High School, St. Mary?s, Kentucky. Frank was employed by Kraft Foods Co. in 1937 in the engineering department in Toulon, Ilinois. He later worked as a construction carpenter in Toulon, Galva, and the Quad Cities area. Frank later worked at Black Hawk College in Moline as the Master Mechanic where he retired.
Voluntary work included the Boy Scouts and the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons Philip Bowman of Moline and Michael Bowman of Ft Lauderdale, Florida; granddaughters Catherine Stewart of Hixson, Tennessee and Jacqueline McGinnis of Sterling, Illinois; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel McGinnis and Theresa McGinnis.
