Freddie L Walton, Jr.

Freddie Walton Jr., 65, of Rock Island, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at home.

Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. with a service to follow, Tuesday, April 26, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home, 701 12th Street, Moline. After the service burial will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to One Eighty, 601 N Marquette St. Davenport, IA.

Freddie Lee Walton Jr. was born May 28, 1956, in West Memphis, Arkansas, to Freddie Walton and Barbara Woods (Willie Woods). He married Cheryl Combs on June 7, 2009 in Rock Island. Following his services with the Navy Freddie worked at Tysons Fresh Meats for over 19 years.

Freddie enjoyed watching sports, listening to music, fishing and spending time with friends and family.

Freddie is survived by his children, Melinda Walton-Bradford, Michelle (Corey) Jackson, Tequila (Jonathan) Lacey, and Deandre Walton; grandchildren, Donnie Bradford, Malcolm Bradford, Maya Bradford, Takadien Lacey, Kaylee Lacey, Nylah Jackson and Nakeari Jackson; brothers, Jeremy Woods, and Kevin Walton; sisters, Bernice (Earl) Hemphill, Tierra Woods, Kierra Woods and Tina Woods; his step-mother, Lena Walton; aunt, Linda Tucker; brothers-in-law, Andre Washington, Winston Tulloch, Saul (Miranda) Combs, and Sterling (Signe) Combs; a sister-in-law, Michelle Combs; nephew-in-law, Javon Combs; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Walton; his parents; a brother, Jeffery; sisters, Karen Tulloch, Arleen Brown, and Mary Anderson; mother-in-law, Shirley Combs; and sister-in-law, Diane Combs.
