Fred H. ?Fritz? Railsback, Jr. 86, of East Moline, Illinois, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died, Monday, June 27, 2005, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, Illinois.
Services are 9:30 a.m. Friday at Christ Episcopal Church, Moline, with the Reverend Christopher R. Young officiating. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the church or to a charity of one?s choice.
Fred Harold Railsback, Jr. was born May 24, 1919 in Illinois the son of Fred Harold Sr. and Elizabeth (Johnston) Railsback. Fred married the former Mary Jenette Von Maur, May 11, 1942, in Davenport, Iowa. And served in the United States Army during WWII. Fred owned the Railsback Real Estate and Insurance Agency in Moline.
Fred was a member of the Moline Elks Club, Moline Kiwanis, Rock Island County Board of Supervisors, and the Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and playing bridge and gin rummy.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, East Moline; daughter, Sara Railsback, Moline; son and daughter-in-law, Fred Harold III and Ella Railsback, Macomb, Illinois; granddaughter, Jane and Salo Ale, Minneapolis, Minnesota, grandson, Christopher Railsback, Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; great-granddaughter, Lea Ale, Minneapolis, Minnesota; great-grandson, Zachary Railsback, Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; and a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Joy Railsback, Palm Desert, California.
