Franklin C. Lenberg, 84, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, April 5, 2021, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport, Iowa.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 13 in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Frank’s memory.
Franklin Charles Lenberg was born September 29, 1936, in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of Peter and Mary (Rittenhouse) Lenberg. He served in the U.S. Navy and went on to marry Lila Springer in 1968, in Gibson City, Illinois. He worked for the National Licorice Company and then retired from J.C. Penney Company in Moline.
He was a former member of Gospel Temple, Moline, and Open Bible Church, East Moline. He enjoyed going to flea markets, reminiscing, and sharing stories.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Lila, his son, Todd Lenberg of Moline, and many beloved in-laws and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
