Frank A. Saelens, 70, of Geneseo, died Friday, December 9, 2005 at Trinity Pathway Hospice at Terrace Park in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Coal Valley with the Reverend Robert Hagen officiating. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice.
Frank Albert Saelens was born May 11, 1935 in Moline, the son of Adiel Felix and Corlie Silvie (Debacker) Saelens. Frank graduated from Alleman High School in Rock Island. He served in the United States Army. Frank married the former Leona H. Cabry on April 15, 1961, in East Moline. He was employed as a salesman at Farmer?s Implement in Moline, then at Lynn Implement in Lynn Center, and most recently at Tennant Truckline in Orion.
Frank enjoyed collecting John Deere machinery and farming.
Survivors include his wife, Leona, daughter, Dianna, both of Geneseo, son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Tammy Saelens and two grandchildren, Kevin and Kelsey Saelens, all of Coal Valley.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Amie and William Saelens.
