Frank A. Sievers, 64, of Rockford, Illinois, formerly of Milan, Illinois, died Thursday, March 2, 2006, in his residence.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, with The Reverend Robert Hagen officiating. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
Frank Andrew Sievers was born October 23, 1941, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Frank and Hildegard (Schroeder) Sievers. He was an inspector at Case IH for 30 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Valley. His passion was raising and racing pigeons, and he belonged to the Rock Island Pigeon Club and the Rockford Flying Club. He enjoyed cooking, and loved animals, especially his dog, Tarbaby.
Frank is survived by three children and their spouses, Maria and James McCall of Milan, John Sievers of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Martin and Amber Sievers of Coal Valley; three grandchildren, Joshua, Heather, and Zachary Sievers; a sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Ritt Rittmueller of East Moline; a brother and sister-in-law, Martin and Sharon Sievers of Coal Valley; an adopted daughter, Rose Moreland of Aledo, and her children, Alan Miller, Christopher Moyer, and Leanna and Amanda Moreland.
