Frances Swanson

Frances Swanson, 87, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in St. Anthony Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church, Moline, with the Reverend Randy Willers officiating. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church.

The former Frances Marie Rankin was born December 8, 1926, in Laclede, Missouri, to Roscoe Bruce and Marie Welch Rankin. She married Eugene Allen Swanson on April 12, 1947, in Rock Island. He died October 27, 1985. She was a long-time member of Salem Lutheran Church, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Frances is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Judy Swanson of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Scott Swanson, Katrina Roberts and her husband Kenneth, and Jennifer Swanson; and two great-grandchildren, Graham Swanson and Marissa Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.
