Moline, Illinois F. Mildred Piper, 87, of Moline, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003, in Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend A. Parker Lewis III will officiate. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is one hour ebefore the services. Memorials may be made to Hope United Church of Christ, Moline. The former Frankie Mildred Hanna was born December 19, 1915, in Newton, Illinois, the daughter of Markus Willard and Lula Maude (Jester) Hanna. She married Theodore R. "Russ" Piper on December 15, 1934, in Rock Island. He died October 8, 1998. She was second floor ward secretary at the former Moline Lutheran Hospital for 13 years. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and First Baptist Church, Rock Island. She loved to crochet and play cards. Mildred is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Jim Burns of Moline; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerome "Jerry" and Judy Piper of Silvis; four granddaughters, Sharon Phares, Jill Lorenzi, Joette Castro, and Jacalyn Pillsbury; and eight great-grandchildren.
