East Moline, Illinois Exie E. Vinson, 85, of East Moline, formerly of Moline, died Sunday, December 8, 2002, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, 601 21st Street, Moline. The Reverend Wayne Martin will officiate. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Riverview Free Will Baptist Church, Bettendorf, where she was a member for 45 years. The former Exie Evelyn Markham was born July 24, 1917, in Guin, Alabama, the daughter of William J. and Frances Savannah (Motes) Markham. She married Wilbanks Vinson in 1935, in Sulligent, Alabama. He died July 15, 1985. She was a skilled seamstress and talented artist, primarily working in oil paint. She enjoyed doing crafts and reading, and loved being with her many friends. She adored her grandchildren, and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Exie is survived by a daughter, Frances Harvell of Moline; a son, William K. Vinson of Des Moines, Iowa; two granddaughters, Sara Bouman and Kara Harvell; two great-grandchildren, Andre Milton and Kenric Brown; a sister, Mary Lou Greenhill of Tuscumbia, Alabama; and a brother, Clement Markham of Okeechobee, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son in infancy, one sister and four brothers.
