Evelyn J. Bettis

Evelyn J. Bettis, 86, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, May 16, 2020, at home.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to QC Paws.

The former Evelyn Joyce Irvin was born June 17, 1933, in Moline, the daughter of George and Marie (Inglish) Irvin. She married Melvin Bettis on May 14, 1974, in Rock Island, Illinois. He died September 13, 1994.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Patty Sterling of New Windsor, Illinois, and two grandsons, John Sterling and Zach St. Clair. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Robert D. Irvin, Jr.
