Moline, Illinois Erma E. McCann, 93, of Moline, died Friday, October 4, 2002, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Homewood Evangelical Free Church, Moline. The Reverend Richard Kraft will officiate. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Memorials may be made to Mississippi Valley Chapter of Alzheimer's. The former Erma Ethel Karns was born January 3, 1909, in Anita, Iowa, the daughter of Jerry and Dora (Reed) Karns. She married John I. McCann on March 18, 1937, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He died April 20, 1997. She was a farm wife and homemaker, and enjoyed pony harness racing, sewing, cooking, gardening, card playing, quilting, letter writing and spending time with her family. Erma is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Virginia Carter of Lebanon, Missouri; five daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Lee and Ben Johnson of Evansdale, Iowa, Joan Tietsort of Moline, Betty and Bob Bradford of Ocala, Florida, Pat and Larry Mostek of Conyers, Georgia, and Diana and LaVern Russell of Nichols, Iowa; 26 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nellie Porter of Richland, Washington, Mable Flora of Tustin, California, Hallie Neuhart of Creston, Iowa, and Helen Downing of West Des Moines, Iowa.
