Eloise C. Catlett

Eloise C. Catlett, of Sherrard, Illinois, died Friday, November 16, 2018, at the same home she was born in 79 years earlier.

Services are 2:30 p.m. Monday at Beulah Presbyterian Church, Orion, Illinois. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Beulah Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice. Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley, is assisting the family.

Eloise was born August 3, 1939, the daughter of Foster Guy and Mildred Opal (Pilcher) Catlett. She lived in Sherrard all of her life and graduated from Sherrard High School in 1957. She farmed with her parents and sister all her life. She also operated a dairy farm for 39 ½ years and raised and showed Morgan and Arabian horses. She loved animals, especially cats.

She was a member of the Black Hawk Dairy Testing Association, the Morgan Horse Club, the Arabian Horse Club, the Illinois Brown Swiss Association, and the Mississippi Valley Milk Producers Association.

Eloise is survived by her sister, Beryl Catlett, and 15 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Evelyn Swiger, Mildred Catlett, and Marilyn Ann Catlett, and brothers, Russell Catlett and David Catlett.
