Ella M. Knorr

East Moline, Illinois Services for Ella M. Knorr, 74, of East Moline, are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial is in Memorial Park, Rock Island. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to Pathway Hospice. Mrs. Knorr died Sunday, February 17, 2002, in her home. The former Ella Mae Street was born May 30, 1927, in Mystic, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Cora (Foster) Street. She graduated from Rock Island High School, and married Walter H. Knorr on November 30, 1953, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She was most recently employed at Thrifty Nickel, and previously was a real estate agent. She had been a member of the Rock Island County Board of Realtors and served on the Zoning Board for the City of Moline. She loved to quilt and enjoyed cooking and flowers. Ella is survived by her husband, Walter; seven children and their spouses, Karen and Mel Piff of Moline, Michael and Barb Knorr of Rock Falls, Illinois, Peggy and Les Wartman of Moline, Greg and Vanice Knorr of Nikiski, Alaska, Tim Knorr of East Moline, Nancy and Jim DeCosta of Davenport, and Erich and Patricia Knorr of Moline; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Joyce Street of Muscatine, Iowa; and sisters and a brother-in-law, Jayne McCaslin of Muscatine, and Bette and James Zimmer of Los Angeles, California.
