Elijio Reyna, 87, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Galveston, Texas, died Sunday, June 5, 2005, in Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center, East Moline.
Services are 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Elijio was born December 1, 1917, in Rio Grande, Texas, the son of Juan and Juanita (Morales) Reyna. He married Lidia Gonzales in 1937; she died in 1997. He was a self-employed concrete contractor in Galveston and Kingsville, Texas, for many years.
Elijio is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Elizabeth Sifuentes, Elsa and Mingo Villarreal, and Zoila and Juan Ramos, all of Galveston, and Eudelia and Pedro Beltran of East Moline; four sons and their wives, Elias Reyna of Washington State, Juan and Janie Reyna of East Moline, and Eliseo and Sue Reyna and Pablo and Cathy Reyna, all of Moline; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, three sons, two daughters, a granddaughter, and a great-grandson.
