Eleanor R. Albracht

Eleanor R. Albracht, 86, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Rock Island, Illinois, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2007, in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice or American Cancer Society.

The former Eleanor Ruth Bradley was born July 1, 1921, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Frank LeRoy and Marie (Mueller) Bradley. She married Kenneth L. Roberts in 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio. She later married Leander L. Albracht on May 15, 1971, in Rock Island. He died April 18, 1988.

Eleanor was a secretary for Deere and Company for 15 years, retiring in 1984. She also worked for the Rock Island Arsenal for ten years. She was a member of Women of the Moose. She enjoyed Card playing, casinos, crafts, bowling, and dancing, and especially loved spoiling her grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Nikki Roberts of Milan, Illinois, a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Rickey White of Winfield, Alabama; stepchildren and their spouses, Nancy and Paul Fisher of Rock Island, Robert and Nanette Albracht of Rock Island, William and Mary Albracht of Moline, Donald and Beth Albracht of Old Lake, Kansas, and Mary Beth and Jeff Hicock of Rock Island, 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Tom Starr of Parma, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, and a sister, Helen May.
