Efrain L. Ramos

Efrain L. Ramos, 75, of East Moline, Illinois, died Friday, September 3, 2021, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport, Iowa.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 11, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe. Burial is in Hampton Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Efrain’s memory.

Efrain Luna Ramos was born October 12, 1945, in Los Indios, Texas, the son of Dionicio Ramos and Elida Luna. After retiring from John Deere, he owned and operated Ramos Body Shop for many years.

He enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Efrain.

Efrain is survived by his children, Efrain (Hilda) Ramos of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dionicio (Andrea) Ramos of Los Fresnos, Texas, Beatrice (Gerardo) Villa of Dumas, Texas, Guadalupe (Brian) Bloomfield of Port Byron, Illinois, Bresa Chaudhry of East Moline, Earl Ramos of Waterloo, Iowa, and Michael Ramos of East Moline; many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandson; siblings, Pablo (Nina) Ramos, Rosa (Jesus) Ramirez, Armando (Rosa) Ramos, Arcelia Ramos, Elida (Vacilio) Garcia, and Elzar (Lori) Ramos; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Elizabeth “Chubby” Ramos-Garcia; a grandson, Nestor Valtierra; a granddaughter, Nicole Bloomfield; and many brothers and sisters.
