Edith Boruff

Edith Boruff age 90 of Columbia, TN, formerly of Seaton, IL. Died Thursday, May 31, 2001 at Hillview NHC, Columbia, TN. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 3, 2001 at Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg, IL. Visitation will be prior to the service Sunday from Noon to 1:30 PM at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo, IL. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. The former Mary Edith Morris was born December 3, 1910 in Belmont, IL. The daughter of Thomas and Ida (Snodgrass) Morris. Edith was Valedictorian of Keithsburg High School, class of 1929. She married William H. Boruff on June 30, 1931 in Oquawka, IL. he died in 1969. Edith was a Past Member of the Keithsburg UMC, and the Mary Burns Chapter 24 Order of the Eastern Star. Ms. Boruff loved nature, including; watching the birds and clouds. She also enjoyed going for rides in the car, especially if eating lunch was involved. Ms. Boruff is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Robert K. Pease of Franklin, TN. And two grandsons, Greg and Stephanie Pease of Nashville, TN, and Robert C. Pease of Atlanta, GA. A son, two brothers, and a sister preceded her in death. End of Obituary
