Marjorie E. O?Brien, 79, of Rock Island, Illinois, formerly of Moline, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday in Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline, with The Reverend Don Jackson officiating. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to United Methodist Women at Riverside United Methodist Church.
The former Marjorie Elizabeth Fisk was born May 3, 1928, in Morrison, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Lena (Leibert) Fisk. She married William O?Brien on February 5, 1950, in Moline. He died July 31, 2005. She was a school nurse for Moline School District #40 for 26 years, retiring in 1987. She previously did private duty nursing and was an instructor at the former Moline Public Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline, Illinois School Nurses Association, Illinois Nurses Association, and Moline Public Hospital Alumni. She enjoyed piano, sport fishing and playing cards.
Marjorie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George and Ruth Ann O?Brien of Moline; two grandchildren, Patrick O?Brien of Moline and Lindsey O?Brien of Panyu, China, and a sister, Verna Keller of Moline. She was preceded in death by her husband, two children in infancy, her parents, and two sisters, Althiea Fisk and Yuvonne Anderson.
