Eileen E. Mattison, 87, of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Moline, with The Reverend John Pattison officiating. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church.
The former Eileen Estella Buche was born August 24, 1920, in Nora, Illinois, the daughter of John and Marie (Woodley) Buche. She graduated from Lanark, Illinois, High School, and married Robert V. Mattison on September 22, 1940, in Lanark. He died July 23, 1995.
Eileen was an active member of First Baptist Church, Moline, where she taught Sunday school and served on various boards. She was a member of the Quad City Diabetic Association, and had been a Cub Scout Den Mother, was active in PTA, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Eileen is survived by three children and their spouses, Anne and Robert Walker of Bettendorf, Iowa, David and Cynthia Mattison of Moline, and Robert and Pamela Mattison of Rock Island; seven grandchildren and their spouses, John Walker, Mark and Nicole Walker, Jennifer and Jeff Osborn, Paul and Lisa Mattison, Kristine and Levi Wallace, Luke Mattison and Hannah Mattison; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Phyllis Krause of Topeka, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, John Buche.
