Ronald E. Kleffner, 59, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Rock Island, died Saturday, May 15, 2010, in the VA Medical Center, Iowa City, Iowa.
Visitation is 12:30 to 1:15 Thursday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, followed by a graveside service at Rock Island National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Ronald Eugene Kleffner was born September 17, 1950, in Moline, the son of Karl and Mary Livingston Kleffner. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, received three Purple Heart Medals, and was permanently retired from the Marine Corps due to his injuries.
Ron is survived by his wife, Linda, and a sister and brother-in-law, Deena and Guy Scottolini, and their children, Marannee and Dominick, all of Romona, California.
