Dwayne A. Smith, Sr.

Dwayne A. Smith, Sr., 61, of Silvis, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, Illinois.

Visitation is 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline.  The celebration of Dwayne’s life will continue with a taco bar and drinks at The Logger House, 256 S State Ave., Hampton, Illinois.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Dwayne Allen Smith was born June 27, 1962, in Geneseo, Illinois, the son of Ivry and Zoe (Bentley) Smith. 

He loved anything outdoors and really enjoyed his career in tree trimming, as well as fishing, camping and stock car racing.  He enjoyed telling jokes and spending time with his family, and especially loved being with his beloved grandchildren.

Dwayne is survived by his children, Dwayne (Kitty) Smith, Jr. of East Moline, Casey (Jonathan) Agan of East Moline, and Robert Brown of Iowa; grandchildren, Alex Munoz, Adam Smith, William Smith, Levi Smith, River Smith, Katelynn Agan, Abagail Agan, Karissa Agan, and Holden; a great-grandson, Angel Jimenez; and sister, Elsie Ashpaugh of Milan, Illinois.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Diane Smith, Deb Smith, Ellen Spencer, and Ed Smith.
