Dorris M. Cottrell

Moline, Illinois Dorris M. Cottrell, 88, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, September 16, 2002, in her home. Private family services will be held. Memorials may be made to Arrowhead Ranch, Coal Valley, Illinois. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is in charge of arrangements. The former Dorris Mary Payne was born July 13, 1914, in Cotton County, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Mary Johnson Payne. She married Frank S. Cottrell Sr. in 1934 in Boulder, Colorado. He died December 8, 1993. She and her husband operated a Continental Oil Company service station in Denver for 35 years, retiring in 1976. Dorris is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Frank S. and Janet Cottrell, three grandchildren and their spouses, Kristin and Peter Pardubsky, Jeffrey and Amber Cottrell, and Steven Cottrell, and two great-grandchildren, Claire Pardubsky and Porter Cottrell, all of Moline, and a sister-in-law, Ruth Davis of Louisville, Colorado.
