Dorothy J. Cowan

Dorothy Jean Cowan, 86, of Scottsdale, Arizona, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, May 17, 2014, in Scottsdale.

Memorial services will be private. Memorials may be made to Weyrich Health Care Center or Hospice of the Valley, both in Scottsdale. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting in local arrangements.

The former Dorothy Jean Fuller was born June 30, 1927, in Muscatine, Iowa, to Harry and Clara Irvine Fuller. She married Christopher Melville Cowan in 1954, in Burlington, Iowa. He died in 1978. She was a claims processor for Heritage Insurance in Moline for several years. She was a former member of Christ The King Catholic Church, Moline, and many organizations, including Daughters of the American Revolution.

Dorothy is survived by children, Peter A. Cowan of St. Louis, Missouri, Robert M. Cowan of Overland Park, Kansas, and Kathleen M. Bruch of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
