Doris Darlene Reck

Doris Darlene Reck, 96, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at home.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Burial is in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa, Iowa.

The former Doris Darlene Barker was born December 18, 1928, in Tory, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Stella Violet (Gibson) Barker. She married Kenneth Leedom, and the couple had a daughter, Marsha, prior to separating.

She later married Joseph Reck, and the couple enjoyed being "rock hounds" together. They collected rocks, visited different rock shows together, and made jewelry. Joe passed away in 2009.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Davis of Rock Island; and two grandsons, Todd Franklin and Glen G. Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law, Glen Davis, Jr.
