Donna L. Anderson

Donna L. Anderson, 75, of East Moline, Illinois, died Friday, December 26, 2008, in Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois.

Services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Union Congregational Church, Moline, with The Reverend Randy Heckman officiating. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 3 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church.

The former Donna Lee Cavanaugh was born April 27, 1933, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Loy D. and Anita Marie (Chown) Cavanaugh. She graduated from Davenport High School in 1951. She was married to Jack H. Anderson from 1968 to 1976.

Donna was clerk typist and accounting technician for the U. S. Army Weapons Command at the Rock Island Arsenal for 13 years, retiring in 1969. For several years she volunteered her time to visit shut-ins. She was a member of Union Congregational Church, Christian Women?s Club, Humane Society, AARP, and Project Now. She enjoyed Bible study, gospel music, animals, reading, and playing games.

Donna is survived by her son, Scott E. Anderson of Royal Oak, Michigan; a sister, Dorothy Hullinger of Moreno Valley, California; a niece, Cindy Greenblatt of California; a nephew Marc Hullinger of Moreno Valley; and a special friend, Don Foshey of Royal Oak.
