Donna J. Stafford, 81, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Monday, October 15, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island.
Services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, with The Reverend Tim Snart officiating. Burial is in Hampton Township Cemetery. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Western Illinois Chapter of Ex-POW?s or Visiting Nurses.
The former Donna Jane Stafford was born June 4, 1931, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Boulton) Titus. She married Harlan ?Jack? Stafford on November 8, 1952, in Davenport, Iowa. He died April 28, 1998.
She worked as a x-ray technician for Moline Public Hospital and as a playground supervisor for the Carbon Cliff/Barstow School District.
Donna was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley. She enjoyed reading, watching Jeopardy, trivia, and crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with, and devoted her life to, her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Cecilia Stafford of Moline; daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer and Christopher Bell of Orion, and Melissa Stafford of Coal Valley; three grandsons, Tommy Belowske of Rock Island, Steven and Jody Belowske of Orion, and Michael and Stephanie Belowske of Davenport; great-grandchildren, Ava, Noah, Ryan, and Mikayla; and a sister, Margaret Gage of Dubuque, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, Bruce Stafford.
