Donna J. Bauer

The heavens gained an amazing woman on January 19, 2022 when Donna Bauer of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday. Burial is in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Iowa.

Donna was born July 23, 1958 in Denver, Colorado and was the youngest of four children. The family moved to Iowa in 1972 and Donna graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1976. She also graduated with honors from St Ambrose University in 2006.

Donna was married to Tom Moore in 1976 and had a beautiful baby girl, Rachael, in 1978. Donna was then married to Andrew Parker in 1986 and they had two amazing daughters as well.

Donna was a rocker who loved the mountains, good music, horses, and taking care of others. She definitely knew how to party and she made the worlds best chocolate chip cookies!

Donna’s kids and grandkids meant the world to her. She made sure every birthday and every single holiday were full of family traditions and awesome food. She created priceless memories that will last for generations to come!

She was so strong, independent, stubborn, and most of all- loving. She will be missed more than words can describe. But as it states on her daughters headstone, “Nothing loved is ever lost, and she was loved so much.”

Donna is survived by her daughters Afton Parker and Danielle (Joseph) Harrell; her grandchildren, Kayden, Jada, and Rachael; and her two sisters in Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Gloria Bauer; brother, Jay Bauer; significant other, Eladio Peña; and daughter, Rachael Moore.
