Donald R. Drumm, 82, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Thursday, October 28, 2021, in UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley, with Rev. Scott Reece officiating. Burial with military honors is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to River City Church, Moline.
Donald Ray Drumm was born October 21, 1939, in Maquoketa, Iowa, to LaVerne and Nina Mae (Usher) Drumm. He married Connie Kuhlman Booth on June 4, 1988, in Davenport, Iowa. He was in the US Air Force for 20 years, served in Vietnam, and retired as Master Sergeant. He then was a machinist at Caterpillar, and worked for Rock Island Register Company and Rock Island County Council on Addictions. He was an active member of River City Church, was an avid reader and Cubs fan, enjoyed gardening, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Don is survived by his wife, Connie; five children, Angela (Don) Armstrong of Coal Valley, Bryan (Nicole) Booth of Geneseo, DeWayne Drumm of Moline, Deann Drumm of East Moline, and Denys Rummerfield of Davenport; many grandchildren including Molly (Justin) Rumley, Gavin (Catie) Malone, Sadie Armstrong, David Armstrong, and Christian Booth; several great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie Cressey and Linda (Paul) Dupuis; and a sister-in-law, Georgia Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Danny Lee Drumm; a daughter, Debra Drumm; a daughter-in-law, Diana Drumm; a brother, Robert Drumm; and a brother-in-law, John Cressy.
