Donald A. Breivogel

Donald A. Breivogel, 78, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, May 21, 2018, in Riverside Hospital, Kankakee, Illinois.

Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation from Noon to funeral time. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family at a funeral luncheon at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe following the burial. Memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans Association.

Don was born December 8, 1939, in Harvey, Illinois, to Arthur and Irene Statler Breivogel. He worked for the Moline and Davenport airports, repairing airplane radios. He was injured in an airplane accident and was a paraplegic for the past 37 years. He loved flying, cats, and classical music, and started the Quad City Sky Raiders model airplane club.

Don is survived by a sister, Janet Varga of Moline; a brother-in-law, John Amendola of Moline; two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Donna Amendola, and a brother-in-law Raymond Varga.
