Dolores Fritz, 85, of Moline, Illinois, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 8, 2015.

There will be no public services. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory with private burial at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, Illinois. Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline, is assisting the family.

Dolores Palos was born May 22, 1929, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of John and Virginia (Morales) Palos. She was first married to Louis R. Morford in 1947 and they had seven children together. He preceded her in death in 1993. She married John L. Fritz in 1967 and he preceded her in death in 2007.

In addition to being a homemaker she also was co-owner and manager of Fritz's Tavern and Restaurant on 7th St. in Moline's Old Towne district during the 1980's and landlord of several multifamily rental properties.

In her youth she and two of her sisters, Tina and Nan Palos, were a professional singing group called "Dream Trio" and appeared regularly on WHBF Radio in the 1940's. Later she became proficient on the organ and piano and was self-taught.

She is survived by her children, Stephen L. Morford (Rene) of Moline, Laura Marion (Dennis) of Coal Valley, Illinois, Paul S. Morford (Karen) of Moline, Glenn C. Morford (Linda) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Dana B. Fritz (Carmen) of Rock Island, Illinois, and Brad W. Fritz (Sue) of Coal Valley; her sisters, Nan Kincaid of Spokane, Washington, Anita Loan (Dennis) of Moline, Judith Reger (Tom) of Silvis, Illinois, Ginny DeFrieze (Harold) of East Moline, and brothers Paul Palos (Marylou) of Davenport, Iowa, William Palos (Sandra) of Coal Valley; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Dolores was preceded in death by both of her parents; both of her husbands; one son, Alan R. Morford; brothers, Marce, Augie and John Palos Jr.; a sister, Tina Rasso; and a grandson, Aaron Morford.
