Diane K. Ballard, 60, of East Moline, Illinois, died Monday, November 13, 2006, in Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport, Iowa.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with Rev. Greg Javaux officiating. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Silvis Heights Baptist Church.
The former Diane Kay Daab was born April 16, 1946, in Moline, the daughter of John and Kathryn (Pitzer) Daab. She married Ernest L. Ballard on November 25, 1967, in Silvis Heights.
She was an active member of Silvis Heights Baptist Church, where she was choir director, played the organ and piano, and worked with the AWANA Club. She served as an election judge for several years, and enjoyed stamping and collecting bears.
Diane is survived by her husband, Ernest; her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Hollie Ballard of Watertown, Wisconsin; her mother, Kathryn Daab of East Moline; and her sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Harold Moore of Albert Lea, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her father, John Daab.
