Diana S. Meyer

Diana S. Meyer, 74, of Moline, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Sunday, February 24, 2019, after a battle with cancer.

Services are 11:30 a.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, Moline. Visitation is from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Henry County Youth Archery Club.

Diana Sue Gaither was born April 13, 1944, in Paxton, Illinois, to Rev. Harvey and Hazel (Sinnes) Gaither. She married Darrell Spellious in September of 1960. He died on August 16, 1977. She married Daniel Meyer in September of 1978, and they celebrated 40 years of happiness together this past September.

She worked at Deere and Company, where she made many lifelong friends. She worked as the Video Conferencing Coordinator for many years when the technology was new, retiring in 2001 as the V.C.B.

She had a love for her family that knew no bounds. Her love had no strings attached and she accepted everyone. She loved to hunt and fish at the Three Lakes Sportsmans Club at their cabin that Dan built. She served as the treasurer of the club for many years. She enjoyed many travels. All that knew her loved her and knew that she was the life of any party.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Meyer; children, Duane (Linda) Spellious of Moline, Darren (Gina) Spellious of Orion, and Stephanie (Alan) Reed of Cambridge. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Darrell Spellious; her parents; two sisters, Elaine Temple and LeeAnn Jones; a brother, Keith Gaither; and a granddaughter, Alyssa Rae.
