Diana L. Ross

Diana L. Ross, 72, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at home surrounded by her family.

A gathering to celebrate Diana’s life will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

The former Diana Lynn Yeakel was born February 29, 1948, in Normal, Illinois, the daughter of Lyle and Ruth (Baker) Yeakel. She graduated from Normal Community High School. She married John Arnold, with whom she had three children before separating. She married the love of her life, Richard Ross in 1992.

She owned and operated Jack Lundy Taylor Shop in Bloomington, Illinois, for over 25 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and reading. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Diana, especially her grandchildren.

Diana is survived by her husband, Richard; three children, Debrah (Brett) Jackson of Bloomington, Jon Arnold of Davenport, and Tony Arnold of Davenport; a step-son, Richard Ross of Davenport; seven grandchildren; siblings, Linda (Russ) Garrett of Kentucky, Alan (Chella) Yeakel of Colfax, Illinois, and Jim (Aggie) Yeakel of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Rhonda.
