Debra S. Holliday

Debra S. Holliday, 57, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Saturday, October 1, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Nursing and Rehab Center, Rock Island.

Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet in the parking lot at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, at 10:15 a.m. Memorials may be made to the family, for a fund to be established in Debbie’s memory.

Debra Suzanne Holliday was born October 21, 1964, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Kenneth and Marilyn (Jones) Holliday. She graduated from Moline High School in 1984. She volunteered at the Robert R. Jones Library in Coal Valley.

She was a proud Special Olympics athlete who won several medals in track. She enjoyed caring for others, sending cards and coloring pictures for those celebrating special occasions or just needing a pick-me-up. She also loved going to yard sales! Above all else, family was the most important thing to Debbie.

Debbie is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Susan Holliday of Rock Island; a nephew, Thomas Holliday of Davenport, Iowa; a niece and nephew-in-law, Allyson and Tayor Bryant of Davenport, and their son, Miles Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved cat, Wiggles.
