Debra Ridenour, 64, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016, in Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa, after a courageous twenty-year battle with heart disease.
A family gathering celebrating Debra's life will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Please send no flowers, as Debra would prefer you donate to your local animal shelter.
She was born in Defiance, Ohio, to James and Marie Hale in 1952. She married her best friend, John Ridenour, in September of 1973, and they were blessed with two children, Tessa of Davenport, Iowa, and Jamerson of Moline, Illinois, two grandchildren, Mayne and Madison, also of Davenport.
Debra worked for Eagle Foods grocery chain for 15 years as a member of UFCW Local 431, then 3 years for the Isle of Capri gaming casino, in Bettendorf.
Debra loved her family and enjoyed them all dearly. She is survived by her husband, John; their children and grandchildren; her father, James Hale; and siblings Diane (Fred) Bokop, Denise (George) Findling, and Julie (Gary) Koebel. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Hale. She also leaves behind her favorite little dog, Guido, and best friends of many years, Sue and Cindy.
