David K. Hines, 58, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, September 26, 2014, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, Illinois.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the ARC of the Quad Cities.
David Kevin Hines was born November 21, 1955, in Moline, the son of I. Robert and Edna (McRoy) Hines. He served in the United States Air Force and the National Guard.
He worked in advertising and as an illustrator for Fanning Advertising, Palmer College of Chiropractic, LinguiSystems, and John Deere. He designed the logos for the Putnam Museum and Rudy's Tacos, and also illustrated full books while at LinguiSystems.
Dave enjoyed artwork, research for a book he was writing, and most of all being with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Edna Hines of Moline; a daughter, Jessica DeFries of Frostburg, Maryland; grandchildren, Anthony, Nathan, Matthew, and Gavin; a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Connie Hines of Moline; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Ahmed Elsayed of Aledo, Illinois; and nieces and nephews, Luke (Ashley), Shannon, Katie, Alex, Hannah, Max, and Maryam.
