David J. Mossage, 68, of LeClaire, Iowa, died Friday, September 7, 2012, at his home.
Private services were held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, East Moline, Illinois. Burial was in Rock Island National Cemetery. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, was in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gilda?s Club or Genesis Hospice.
David John Mossage was born June 4, 1944, in Moline, Illinois, the son of John Jr. and Margaret Leah James Mossage. He graduated from the University of Illinois, and was self-employed as an architectural contractor. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Julie Wallace Nebel on August 12, 1995, in Long Grove, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; six children and their spouses, Eric Mossage of Colona, Illinois, Brent Mossage of Bettendorf, Iowa, Brandon and Pam Nebel of Riverton, Wyoming, Corey and Michelle Nebel of Liberty, Missouri, Jill and Kelvin Everitt of Falls Church, Virginia, and Jameson Nebel of Davenport, Iowa; many grandchildren; and his good friend, Jon Kahler of Buffalo, Iowa.
