Darlene J. “Putsy” Humphrey

Darlene J. ”Putsy” Humphrey, age 77, of Moline, died, Monday, March 20, 2006, at Heartland Healthcare Center, Moline.

Services are 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2006 in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be given to either Niabi Zoo or to a f favorite charity.

The former Darlene J. Iggstrom was born October 4, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Paul and Karin (Carlsson) Iggstrom. She married Dwight J. Humphrey, October 29, 1949, in Moline; he died January 5, 1994. Darlene was employed for over 26 years as a school secretary at Horace Mann and Bicentennial schools in the Moline Public School District. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Moline, the PTA, PEO, and King?s Daughters. Darlene enjoyed playing bridge.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and James Ellis of Moline, son, Reid Humphrey of Florida, three grandchildren, Meredith, Olivia, and Evan Ellis, all of Moline.
