Moline, Illinois Daniel M. Dickerson, 74, of Moline, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Lutheran Church, Moline, with The Reverend Tom Otis officiating. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal where Moline American Legion Honor Guard will present military honors. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church or the Heart Association. Daniel Malcolm Dickerson was born November 15, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Bailey and Emily (Fisher) Dickerson. He graduated from United Township High School, East Moline, and attended the University of Illinois, before entering the Army and serving in Korea. He married Laura Clark on April 18, 1954, in New Castle, Indiana, and they would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary next month. He was Materials Engineer for John Deere Harvester Works for 35 years, retiring in 1984, and was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Moline, and the National VFW. Music was a big part of his life. He played clarinet in the Windjammers Band, and enjoyed model trains and photography. He was a wonderful husband, a devoted father, and a loving grandfather. Daniel is survived by his wife, Laura; two sons, Daniel Dickerson Jr. and Michael Dickerson, both of Moline; a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Mark Tepaske of Charles City, Iowa; two grandsons, Alexander and John Tepaske; a brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Virginia Dickerson of Satellite Beach, Florida; and several nephews.
